Love Tattoo

The art of tattooing begins with a simple yet deliberate act: making tiny incisions in the skin and working ink into the open wounds. As the body heals, the pigment remains embedded beneath the surface, forming a permanent design that outlasts the initial pain. What begins as a fleeting injury transforms into an indelible mark, one that cannot be easily washed away or forgotten no matter how much time passes. Saegin Sarang explores this striking parallel between the permanence of ink and the enduring nature of human affection. It asks whether love operates on the very same principle—whether the emotional wounds we suffer and the impressions others leave upon us ultimately scar over to become lasting parts of who we are. Just as a tattoo refuses to fade even after the skin has fully mended, the story delves into the idea that genuine attachment leaves an invisible but unbreakable imprint on the heart. Through this poignant metaphor, the manhwa examines the beautiful, sometimes painful reality that true love, once experienced, becomes a permanent fixture of our lives long after the initial ache has healed.
