Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou

Maquia belongs to a secluded clan whose members cease aging in their mid-teens, granting them a form of immortality. Though her days are tranquil, she is an orphan burdened by a quiet sense of isolation. This fragile peace is violently shattered when an invading army descends upon their home, desperate to seize the secret behind her people's eternal youth. During the devastating assault, Leilia, renowned as the most beautiful girl in the clan, is captured, and the boy Maquia secretly loves vanishes without a trace. Though Maquia manages to flee the destruction, she is left entirely alone, having lost both her friends and the only home she has ever known. While wandering aimlessly through the forest, she discovers Ariel, an infant boy who has also been stripped of his parents. Bound together by their shared loss, the two embark on an uncertain journey. As the years pass, the story chronicles the profound and evolving bond between them—Ariel steadily grows into adulthood, while Maquia remains forever unchanged, navigating the complexities of motherhood and time itself.
