Deaimon

After a decade away, Nagomu Irino finally returns to his hometown of Kyoto upon learning that his father has been hospitalized. Having spent years away from home, he arrives with a clear ambition: to step into his father’s shoes and assume control of Ryokushou, the family’s traditional Japanese confectionery shop. For Nagomu, taking over the beloved establishment feels like both a duty and a long-awaited opportunity to reconnect with his roots. However, his expectations are quickly upended when he discovers that the shop's future has already been decided. Rather than inheriting the business, Nagomu is introduced to Itsuka Yukihira, a young girl whom everyone around the shop has already embraced as the rightful successor to Ryokushou. Instead of handing him the reins of the family legacy, his father presents him with an entirely different responsibility—asking him to act as a guiding, fatherly figure to the child destined to lead the shop. This unexpected arrangement forces Nagomu to confront his own aspirations while navigating the delicate dynamics of his family's heritage. Set against the rich cultural backdrop of Kyoto, his journey becomes one of personal growth, as he must reconcile his dreams of running the confectionery with the profound role he is now expected to play in Itsuka’s life.
