Apple Children of Aeon

Set against the backdrop of 1970s Tokyo, Yukinojo is a young man desperate to escape his current life. Seeking independence, he marries into a family of apple farmers and relocates to the remote countryside of Aomori Prefecture. As he struggles to adjust to the demanding agricultural work and the quiet rhythms of rural northern Japan, his new life takes an unsettling turn when he unknowingly feeds a forbidden apple to his wife, Asahi. The seemingly innocent act immediately triggers widespread panic among the local villagers, who abruptly close ranks and refuse to explain the source of their terror. Left entirely in the dark by the community he has joined, Yukinojo realizes he cannot rely on anyone else for answers. Driven by love and determination, he resolves to investigate the chilling mystery surrounding the orchards on his own. His search for the truth will ultimately force him to confront forces far beyond human understanding, leading him to challenge an ancient god in order to protect the woman he loves.
