The First of the Ming Dynasty

In the tenth year of the Zhengde era, Zhu Yi arrived in the Ming dynasty and became the third son of the Ning Wang, Zhu Gongpu. As the son of Zhu Yi, his father Zhu Chonghua, and his mother Lou Sujuan, he was destined to enjoy wealth and prosperity. However, his fate was to be confined to a high-walled courtyard for the latter half of his life, a life not worth living. Zhu Yi sought to change his circumstances, for the Ning Wang was the first among the Ming dynasty's noble families, and all others should take a step back. This novel follows the main characters of Zhu Yi, Zhu Yi, and Zhu Houzhao as they navigate the complexities of court politics and family dynamics.
