Kiyotake is a man drifting through life without direction or notable achievements. Aspiring to be an actor, he rarely lands anything beyond minor background roles and relies on a patchwork of part-time jobs just to scrape by. His existence is defined by isolation and a lingering sense of loss. When his best friend Shun died in a tragic accident at the age of nineteen, Kiyotake was left emotionally untethered, maintaining only a handful of casual acquaintances rather than any meaningful personal connections. His solitary routine begins to shift when an old acquaintance unexpectedly moves into the apartment next door. This sudden proximity forces Kiyotake to confront the quiet emptiness of his daily life and gradually expands his limited social world. As their paths cross more frequently, the fragile boundaries he has built around himself start to erode. What begins as a simple change of neighbors slowly evolves into an opportunity for connection, challenging him to navigate relationships and find purpose after years of aimless survival.
