Wind of the Green Jade

"Hisuiiro no Kaze" is a poignant Boys' Love drama centering on Takamura, a cynical and celebrated novelist known for his hard-boiled writing style. While seeking solitude in a quiet seaside village, he crosses paths with Midori, a mysterious youth whose striking jade-green eyes instantly captivate him. Before the novelist can maintain his detached distance, he finds himself unexpectedly drawn into and entangled with the daily operations of a small local hostel run by Midori's family. As their lives intertwine, Takamura discovers that both he and the young man share deeply painful, heartbreaking childhood traumas. However, unlike the embittered author, Midori has miraculously retained his innate faith and trust in others. Overwhelmed by a turbulent mix of frustration, anger, and suppressed emotion, Takamura crosses a line and violates Midori. The narrative follows the aftermath of this volatile encounter, exploring whether these two profoundly wounded individuals can ultimately come to terms with their complex feelings for one another. Originally published alongside companion short stories including "Miracle wa Doko ni Aru," "First Step," and "Utau You ni Aishitai," this volume captures an intense emotional journey of healing and redemption.
