Toki

Set within the expansive universe of the beloved Saki franchise, Toki is a dedicated spin-off manga that shifts its focus to the formative years of several key characters. Rather than exploring their later competitive high school exploits, this narrative steps back in time to chronicle the childhoods and early adolescence of the talented girls hailing from Osaka. The story centers primarily on Toki Onjouji and Ryuuka Shimizudani, alongside other familiar faces from the region, offering readers an intimate look at the bonds they forged long before stepping onto the national stage. Spanning the characters' elementary and middle school years, the series provides a heartfelt exploration of their personal growth and evolving friendships. Through these foundational experiences, readers witness the early moments that shaped the remarkable individuals they would eventually become. By delving into their shared history and daily lives during these crucial developmental stages, the manga enriches the broader Saki storyline, adding emotional depth and meaningful context to the enduring connection between Toki, Ryuuka, and their companions from Osaka.
