Bust Complex

Bust Complex is a one-shot manga that explores the deeply personal anxieties of its protagonist, centering on her insecurities regarding her physical appearance. The narrative follows a young woman who struggles with the burdensome weight of her own self-consciousness, finding that her most prominent physical feature has become the focal point of her daily distress. Rather than viewing her body with confidence, she carries her worries close to her heart, allowing her insecurities to shape her interactions and internal world. The story delves into the emotional complexity of living with a body image concern that feels inescapable. Her chest, which others might perceive as an asset, serves instead as a constant reminder of her vulnerability and unease. This intimate character study examines how she navigates her feelings of inadequacy, pressing her deepest fears against her very being as she attempts to find peace within herself. Through this focused lens, the one-shot presents a poignant look at the quiet battles fought over self-acceptance and the heavy emotional toll of physical insecurity.
