Ao no Shima to Neko Ippiki

After spending years away from his roots, Souta Nakamura, a young teacher accustomed to city life, decides to relocate to the tranquil island of Nagishima. He makes the journey expecting to reunite with his former upperclassman, who had generously offered him a place to stay. However, upon his arrival, Souta discovers that his old acquaintance has unexpectedly departed, leaving behind a situation far different from what he had anticipated. Instead of a quiet place to settle in, Souta finds himself entrusted with the care of his upperclassman's teenage daughter, Ao. Far from an ordinary adolescent, Ao possesses a maturity and wisdom well beyond her years. She embodies the serene, unhurried rhythm of island living, carrying its peaceful lifestyle deeply within her heart. Now, the displaced city teacher must navigate this unforeseen responsibility while adjusting to a world entirely unlike the one he left behind. Bound together by circumstance on a remote island, Souta and Ao must learn to coexist as two people shaped by vastly different environments. As he steps into this unexpected role, the young teacher begins to discover that life on Nagishima may hold lessons he never expected to learn.
