Mugi Tadano, a 16-year-old, takes a summer job at his friend Kazuki's beachside snack bar/hotel on a tropical island to ease his heartbreak after his girlfriend moves away. Kazuki sets Mugi up on a date with Yuu, who is initially perceived as less than perfect. However, when they meet, Yuu's charming appearance catches Mugi off guard. After a misunderstanding leads to a confrontation, Yuu leaves the island, prompting Mugi to vow to search for her, but will he ever see her again?
