Tsubasa: Those With Wings

Set at the close of the twenty-second century, Earth has been left barren and unforgiving after enduring countless devastating wars. Civilization’s remaining comforts are tightly monopolized by the military, powerful corporations, and elite officials, while the general population struggles to survive amid rampant crime and widespread poverty. Against this bleak backdrop, Kotobuki—a former thief—travels the ruined world in search of honest work, determined to leave her criminal past behind forever. She is accompanied by Raimon, a brilliant former military commander who once pursued her as an adversary but ultimately abandoned his post to follow his dream of staying by her side. Their quest for a peaceful, ordinary life is constantly disrupted by those hunting for "Tsubasa," a legendary artifact rumored to grant any wish. According to ancient accounts, Tsubasa appeared long ago, fulfilled the desires of all who encountered it, and then vanished without a trace. Now, desperate individuals and factions from every corner of society seek the mythical device, relentlessly attempting to exploit Kotobuki’s underworld expertise and Raimon’s tactical brilliance to secure its power for themselves.
