Ichi (1993)

Shiroishi Hajime is a senior high school student who has endured years of relentless bullying. Despite being a highly skilled karateka, he suffers from a crippling psychological barrier: the moment a real fight looms, his body betrays him, and his knees buckle with overwhelming fear. He is known to his classmates as Ichi, a quiet young man desperately trying to survive each day without confrontation. His fragile existence is shattered when Akakuma Dai, a classmate obsessed with power and violence, turns his attention toward him. Akakuma lives for nothing but fighting, and he sets his sights on Ichi as his next target. Cornered and pushed to his absolute limit, Ichi begins to shed tears in sheer terror. However, those tears do not signal defeat. Instead, they act as a trigger, suddenly unleashing a dormant, violent impulse that has long resided deep within him, transforming the fearful student into something entirely unpredictable.
