Akumu no Sumu Ie: Ghost Hunt

Midori’s mother has finally secured the house of her dreams, but the family’s newfound happiness is quickly shattered by a series of disturbing supernatural phenomena. What begins as unsettling anomalies—unexplained power outages and bizarre phone calls—soon escalates into something far more sinister. The eerie presence of unseen spirits lingers in every corner, and the discovery of inexplicable bloodstains in the bathroom pushes the terrified family to their breaking point. Desperate for answers, they enlist Mai and the Shibuya Psychic Research team to investigate the property. However, what initially appeared to be a perfect home rapidly reveals itself to be a harrowing nightmare. As the investigators delve deeper into the house's dark secrets, they must confront terrifying horrors lurking within its walls before the malevolent forces consume them entirely. Akumu no Sumu Ie: Ghost Hunt is adapted from a sequel novel set several months after the events of the original Ghost Hunt story. The source material was published in 1994 and spanned two volumes.
