Yoake no Kitchen

Hitachi is the undisputed number one host at his club, commanding overwhelming popularity and admiration from everyone around him. Yet, his glamorous nightlife takes an unexpected turn when he returns home after a shift to find a strange child waiting outside his door. The boy introduces himself as Ito and hands over a letter written by Hitachi’s mother. Bound by the message's contents, Hitachi reluctantly agrees to let the child stay, suddenly finding himself responsible for another person in his carefully maintained life. This abrupt change in living arrangements forces Hitachi to confront a deeply rooted psychological wound. He suffers from severe trauma related to eating in front of other people, a vulnerability that sharply contrasts with his confident public persona. With a child now sharing his home, avoiding meals altogether is no longer a viable option. A complete novice who has never held any real interest in food or culinary preparation, Hitachi must navigate the kitchen out of sheer necessity. What begins as clumsy, reluctant attempts at preparing simple meals gradually transforms into a genuine journey of growth. This heartfelt cooking manga follows his slow but steady progress as he learns to cook, ultimately using the kitchen as a space to heal old scars and build a new bond with Ito.
