Favela no Mangaka

After repeatedly failing to secure a serialization deal, manga artist Takei Hiroto decides to abandon his lifelong dream. Hoping to leave his disappointments behind, he travels to Brazil for a change of scenery and a chance to move on. However, an unexpected detour leads him deep into the heart of a favela, where a chance encounter alters his perspective entirely. There, Hiroto meets Joao, a young boy living in poverty whose sharp, determined gaze hints at a fierce inner drive. Despite growing up on the other side of the world in vastly different circumstances, Joao harbors the exact same ambition: to become a professional manga artist. This striking parallel forces Hiroto to confront his own defeatism and reconsider the meaning of perseverance. Their meeting sparks an inspiring journey that transcends borders and backgrounds. Proving that passion is not bound by geography or social standing, the story follows two aspiring creators who refuse to let their environment dictate their future. From the depths of the slums, both Hiroto and Joao begin chasing their shared dream together, demonstrating that no matter who you are or where you live, giving up is never the only option.
