Xiang Yu & Liu Bang

Set during the turbulent final days of China's Qin Dynasty, this manga chronicles the legendary Chu-Han Contention. Troubled by a prophetic dream foretelling his eventual downfall, Emperor Qin Shi Huang becomes consumed by fear and embarks on a desperate journey across the empire in search of an elixir of immortality. Driven by his strict Legalist philosophy, the emperor enforces his rule with ruthless brutality, ordering the infamous burning of books and the burying alive of scholars who dare to oppose his policies. As the Qin Dynasty fractures under the weight of its own tyranny, a new era of chaos ignites. Across the war-torn landscape, ambitious leaders rise from the ashes of the crumbling regime. These rival figures clash in a relentless struggle for supremacy, each determined to outmaneuver the others and claim dominion as the founding ruler of China's next great dynasty. This series was originally serialized under the title Young Lions before being renamed Xiang Yu and Liu Bang for its collected book release.
