Hakuba no Oyomesan

In the year 2063, genetic modification has become an ordinary part of human life, reshaping society in ways previously thought impossible. Amid this near-future landscape, a provocative question emerges: if men possessed the biological ability to conceive children, how would the nature of love and romance transform? Hakuba no Oyomesan explores this premise through the lens of a science fiction comedy centered entirely around the pursuit of marriage. The story follows Kiyotaka Ujiie, a young man who relocates from Hokkaido to the Kanto region as he begins his high school education. Upon arriving at his new school, Kiyotaka encounters four male students who possess the unique genetic trait allowing them to become pregnant. Rather than seeking traditional careers or typical teenage adventures, these four young men share a surprising and singular ambition: they are actively searching for brides. As Kiyotaka becomes entangled in their earnest quest for matrimonial partners, he is drawn into a humorous and unconventional world where gender roles and romantic expectations have been completely rewritten by science.
