A former instructor, Lú Chén, is unexpectedly demoted and assigned to lead the worst unit in the army. His team consists of unconventional individuals: a 200-pound eating machine, a sleeping demolition expert, a wind-sensitive asthmatic, a geography-disoriented navigation expert, and an eight-directional intelligence officer. Belittled by their peers as waste, they manage to defeat the elite "Sharp Blade" unit with the help of their unorthodox tactics led by Lú Chén, and successfully confront foreign insurgents, transforming from laughingstocks to border heroes.
