Summary

Official Details

Originally published in Japan between 1968 and 1973, this chilling collection of seven short stories showcases the master of horror Kazuo Umezu at his most psychological. The anthology features "Mushitachi no Ie," "Me," "Rousoku," "Kizuna," "Rasen Kaidan," "Kubi," and "Natsu no Owari," originally serialized across premier manga magazines including Big Comic and Play Comic. Throughout these dark and unsettling tales, Umezu orchestrates deeply disturbing scenarios where ordinary individuals find their stable daily lives upended overnight. As surreal terrors and mounting psychological pressure take hold, the characters' growing anguish gradually drags them past the brink of sanity into the depths of madness.
