Metsuko ni Yoroshiku

Metsuko is a young woman who constantly finds herself on the wrong side of other people's assumptions. Labeled as a troublemaker and judged harshly for her heavier build, she navigates a world that has already decided who she is before she even speaks. To those around her, she appears to be nothing more than an intimidating delinquent, someone best avoided in the hallways and whispered about behind closed doors. Yet, beneath this rough exterior and the unfair reputation that shadows her every move lies a surprisingly simple and deeply human wish. Far from the hardened rebel everyone believes her to be, Metsuko harbors a single, earnest desire: she just wants to be popular. She longs for genuine friendships, warm smiles, and the kind of effortless acceptance that seems to come so naturally to others. Her story follows the poignant and often comedic struggle of a girl fighting against the heavy weight of societal prejudice and misunderstanding. As she attempts to bridge the vast gap between her fearsome image and her gentle heart, Metsuko must find her own unique way to connect with a world that refuses to see her true self.
