Onna Kyoushi

Misae is a former member of Ten no Koe, a radical new left-wing organization. Seeking to leave her turbulent past behind, she relocates to the coastal city of Numazu in Shizuoka Prefecture. There, she assumes a completely new identity and secures a position as a junior high school teacher, carefully concealing her true background from everyone around her. Her fresh start, however, proves far more challenging than anticipated. The classrooms she is assigned to manage are filled with deeply troubled students who test her patience and resolve on a daily basis. Faced with their emotional struggles and behavioral issues, Misae is forced to confront not only the difficulties of guiding wayward youth but also the lingering shadows of her own history. As she dedicates herself to reaching these young people, an unexpected transformation begins to take root. Through the daily trials of mentoring students who desperately need direction, Misae slowly discovers a profound sense of purpose she never expected to find. What began as a desperate attempt to hide from her past gradually evolves into a genuine awakening, as she finally embraces her true calling as an educator.
