The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for the Throne

To the empire, Prince Arnold is nothing more than a laughingstock. Widely regarded as a hopelessly inept royal, he lives entirely in the shadow of his far more talented twin brother, Leonard. The court and the public alike dismiss him as a fool unfit for power, unaware that his bumbling reputation is nothing but a carefully constructed facade. Beneath this mask of incompetence lies a staggering secret. Arnold operates under the alias Silver, an elite adventurer who commands formidable magic. He holds the prestigious SS-rank, a title shared by only five individuals across the entire continent. This hidden identity grants him extraordinary influence and strength, completely detached from his royal obligations. When the crown prince dies unexpectedly, the empire plunges into chaos, igniting a brutal and bloody succession war among the remaining factions. As rival claimants tear the realm apart, Arnold refuses to seize the throne openly. Instead, he orchestrates events from the shadows, pulling the strings to ensure that Leonard emerges victorious. By engineering his twin’s coronation as emperor, Arnold executes a furtive grab for ultimate control, securing the empire's future—and his own advantage—without ever stepping into the light.
