Shokugeki no Souma: L'étoile

Upon graduating from Tootsuki Culinary Academy as the First Seat of the Elite Ten, Kojirou Shinomiya relocated to France with a singular ambition: to become the first Japanese chef ever to receive the prestigious French Pluspol Award. He ultimately achieved this historic milestone, yet the realization of his lifelong dream brought an unforeseen consequence. Standing at the absolute pinnacle of the culinary world without any remaining goals to pursue, Kojirou found his creative drive fading. His cooking began to stagnate, leaving him adrift and disconnected from the art form he had dedicated his life to mastering. Set in the aftermath of an unofficial Shokugeki during the first-year training camp, Shokugeki no Souma: L'étoile chronicles Kojirou’s difficult journey toward professional and personal reinvention. To reignite his dormant passion for the culinary arts, he must critically reassess the techniques and philosophies that defined his past successes. Rather than resting on his accolades, Kojirou is forced to look forward, searching for a new purpose and discovering what he truly wishes to express through his cuisine. This introspective struggle transforms his approach to cooking, challenging him to forge a renewed identity as a chef beyond the boundaries of his previous achievements.
