Linkage

"Do you remember the moment your love first began?" Linkage is a collection of intimate stories exploring the unexpected bonds forged between women. From two office workers who misunderstand their significance to each other, to an AI researcher and her creation, these narratives share no direct connection. Instead, they are united by the emotional ties that develop as love blossoms into something genuine, drawing readers into the lives of deeply different characters navigating devotion, identity, and longing. Among these tales, two sisters sharing a single room discover their bond extends far beyond a typical sibling relationship, though one eventually reacts with unexpected cruelty, leaving their future uncertain. Elsewhere, Tomoko Hirose, a dedicated flute student at a music conservatory, has always prioritized practice over socializing, unlike her outgoing fellow flautist, Hiromi Okamoto. As Christmas approaches, Hiromi must find a way to prove her sincere feelings before Tomoko spends yet another holiday alone with her instrument. In another story, Keiko presents a harsh, ruthless exterior that completely masks the ordinary, desperately lonely girl within. Seeking refuge from her isolation, she encounters Haruka, a blind schoolgirl whose unique circumstances offer Keiko an unexpected sanctuary. Together, these diverse vignettes weave a rich tapestry of romance, revealing how fragile connections can transform into profound, life-altering love.
