Sylpheed of the Wind

Born on a modest horse ranch, Sylpheed is a young foal named after the mythical spirits of the wind. Despite his graceful namesake, his life begins under tragic circumstances. His mother perishes during childbirth, leaving him orphaned from his very first breath. Compounding this devastating loss, the newborn colt suffers from tendinitis in his leg, a painful condition that casts serious doubt on his physical future and threatens to end any racing aspirations before they can even begin. Hayao, a young boy with a deep and abiding love for horses, refuses to accept such a grim fate for the fragile animal. Driven by unwavering determination, he dedicates himself to nursing Sylpheed back to health, harboring a singular dream: to see the orphaned foal grow into a strong, thriving champion racer just as his late mother once was. The bond between the grieving boy and the injured horse becomes their shared source of strength as they face an uncertain path forward together. Yet the road ahead is fraught with hardship. With Sylpheed’s compromised legs and Hayao’s youth standing against them, the odds are heavily stacked against both the bereaved foal and the devoted boy who believes in him. Their journey will demand extraordinary resilience to overcome the formidable challenges that lie in wait.
