Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari: Girl's Side Story

Raphtalia, a young demi-human girl, once enjoyed a peaceful life surrounded by her loving family and friends. That tranquility was shattered when a catastrophic event known as the Waves of Calamity unleashed devastating monsters upon her home. During the chaos, she tragically lost her parents, leaving her village on the verge of total ruin. Before any recovery could begin, opportunistic soldiers descended upon the devastated settlement, plundering what remained and forcing Raphtalia into slavery. Her grim circumstances took an unexpected turn when she crossed paths with Naofumi Iwatani, a hero summoned from another world to protect their realm from impending destruction. As they journey together to combat the relentless threats brought forth by the Waves of Calamity, the bond between the two steadily deepens through shared hardship and mutual reliance. This manga offers a compelling retelling of the overarching narrative, experienced entirely through Raphtalia’s perspective as she transforms from a broken captive into a devoted companion fighting for survival.
