Ichijyoma Mankitsu Gurashi!

Meiko is a young woman from the countryside who has recently enrolled in an elite, all-girls academy. To make this prestigious education possible, she accepts a special arrangement: her tuition and living expenses will be entirely covered by the school on one condition. She must actively participate in designated extracurricular activities. However, Meiko soon discovers that this requirement involves far more than joining a simple school club. Instead of attending classes or typical after-school events, she finds herself assigned to live-in work at a local manga cafe. Rather than returning home each evening, Meiko takes up residence inside a single, cramped booth within the establishment. Despite the tight quarters and the unexpected nature of her living situation, she quickly realizes that life in a one-room manga cafe is surprisingly comfortable. Surrounded by endless shelves of reading material, her unconventional new lifestyle begins to feel less like a hardship and more like an adventure. Working alongside other charming high school girls who also staff the cafe, Meiko settles into her unique daily routine. The series follows her heartwarming and lighthearted journey as she navigates the challenges of balancing her scholarship obligations with her cozy, unusual new home.
