Sora no Seibun

Okamoto is a dedicated basketball player who enrolled in his current high school for one simple reason: to remain by the side of his girlfriend, Yumi. Their relationship, however, is built upon a dark and painful history. During their childhood, Okamoto accidentally dropped a kettle of boiling water on Yumi, leaving a large, disfiguring scar across her back. Ever since that tragic incident, Yumi has held him responsible, compelling him to stay with her as a form of lifelong penance. Bound by guilt and obligation, Okamoto has accepted this arrangement without question, dedicating his daily life entirely to her demands. The fragile dynamic between them begins to shift dramatically when a new student named Koizumi joins the basketball club. Short and slender in build, Koizumi possesses such delicate and effeminate features that it becomes nearly impossible to determine whether he is male or female when dressed in casual clothing. As Koizumi integrates into the team, his unexpected presence disrupts the carefully maintained balance of Okamoto's life, setting the stage for unforeseen complications within both his athletic pursuits and his burdensome relationship with Yumi.
