Kujima: Why Sing, When You Can Warble?

During the autumn of his first year of junior high school, Arata Kouda experiences a truly bizarre encounter that forever alters his daily routine. A mysterious creature calling itself Kujima suddenly appears, inserting itself directly into the lives of the Kouda family. This unexpected arrival sets the stage for a charming home comedy centered on an unconventional household dynamic and the peculiar new member who disrupts it. The Kouda residence is already navigating a period of underlying tension, as the entire family remains deeply concerned about their eldest son, who is currently studying intensely as a ronin to pass his university entrance examinations. Into this stressful environment, Kujima brings an entirely new energy, breathing fresh life into the anxious home. Despite being a strange and unidentified being, Kujima is remarkably relatable in certain ways: the creature speaks fluent human language and happily consumes the same meals as people, though insects are also occasionally on the menu. As the family adjusts to their extraordinary houseguest, questions naturally arise regarding Kujima's true origins. Whether this enigmatic visitor traveled all the way from outer space or emerged from somewhere far more unexpected remains a mystery, keeping both the Kouda family and viewers guessing throughout this heartwarming comedic series.
