The Ramparts of Ice

Koyuki Higawa struggles with social interaction, preferring to keep a firm emotional barrier between herself and the rest of the world. Throughout her high school years, she navigates the hallways as a solitary figure, content in her isolation. However, her carefully constructed walls are challenged when she crosses paths with Minato Amamiya, a boy who persistently attempts to bridge the gap between them for reasons she cannot fathom. His relentless efforts to draw closer force Koyuki to confront the very boundaries she has spent so long maintaining. As their dynamic shifts, the lives of four distinct young people begin to intertwine in unexpected ways. Alongside the withdrawn Koyuki and the boundary-defying Minato, there is Miki, a widely popular student, and Youta, a compassionate member of the basketball team. Each carries their own complexities and insecurities into the group's evolving relationships. Together, these four navigate the turbulent waters of youth, their individual struggles colliding to create a deeply intertwined narrative. It is a story of confusion, connection, and the complicated reality of young lives learning to overlap.
