My First Love: Big Honey

This anthology explores the inexplicable heartaches and tender uncertainties that accompany the earliest stages of romance. In the title story, Tatsunori cycles through fleeting relationships, drawn only to men who resemble Keito, his unrequited high school crush. When fate reunites them at university, however, Keito’s appearance has changed entirely, upending Tatsunori’s familiar patterns. Another tale follows Kensei, whose life is thrown into disarray when John, a meticulous American exchange student, becomes his roommate. Their constant clashes over cleanliness mask an unexpected emotional connection simmering beneath their bickering. Elsewhere, Masa and Fuji are acutely aware of the physical intimacy their peers share, yet their own relationship has never progressed beyond a single kiss. When they unexpectedly find themselves locked alone in a room together, they must confront the tension between them. The final story centers on Misono, a flawless overachiever whose elite trajectory—from top grades to a prestigious trading company—never faltered, except for one lingering frustration: Sakura, the eccentric classmate who remained entirely indifferent to his charm. Years after graduation, their reunion forces Misono to finally understand why this singular outcast continues to occupy his thoughts.
