Kaya-chan Isn't Scary

Kaya-chan is a young student at Hanamugi Kindergarten who possesses an extraordinarily powerful sixth sense. While her classmates and family remain completely unaware of the supernatural entities lurking around them, she can perceive every ghost that attempts to stalk her loved ones. Rather than cowering in fear, she takes matters into her own hands, secretly delivering swift physical punishment to any sinister spirits that dare to appear. However, this heroic vigilance comes at a heavy personal cost. Because no one else can see the ghosts she fights, her sudden outbursts and bizarre actions are entirely misunderstood by those around her. Instead of being recognized as a protector, Kaya-chan is unfairly labeled a troublemaker, leaving her isolated in a daily struggle that no one comprehends. The trajectory of her lonely battle shifts dramatically when her teacher, Chie, finally uncovers the hidden truth behind the child's unusual behavior. With her secret revealed to at least one understanding adult, Kaya-chan no longer has to carry the burden alone. Empowered and unafraid, she remains ever ready to let her fists fly against any malevolent spirit foolish enough to threaten the people she cares about.
