Thursdays with Furutto

Furutto is a feline navigating two entirely different worlds. By day, he serves as the devoted companion to Kujirai, a young woman living in an apartment building who works as a manga assistant. She offers him shelter and affection within her home, though her ability to provide meals depends heavily on her financial luck. Whenever her meager paycheck survives her gambling habits, Furutto enjoys a comfortable indoor life by her side. Yet, comfort has not softened his wild instincts. Determined to maintain his reputation among the neighborhood's untamed population, Furutto dedicates much of his time to the demanding social hierarchy of street cats. He roams the alleys alongside other strays, scavenging for scraps from trash cans and engaging in territorial skirmishes with rival felines from the neighboring town. Balancing the warmth of domestic companionship with the gritty realities of outdoor survival, Furutto leads a double life that keeps both his owner and his street allies guessing about where his true loyalties lie.
