Kokoro wo Hadaka ni Shite

Kokoro wo Hadaka ni Shite is a collection of early, lighthearted romance stories by Mayu Shinjo. In the title story, high school freshman Mina harbors a secret crush on her math teacher, Yukiya, who also happens to be her cousin. Though Yukiya has always cherished her and seems able to read her heart effortlessly, Mina struggles with whether he will ever view her as a woman rather than his younger relative. Her attempts to gain his attention risk drawing unwanted notice from a manipulative chemistry teacher. Another tale follows Hitomi, who stumbles upon Kairi, a vampire, in the dark. Despite his dangerous nature, she finds herself irresistibly drawn to his powerful charm. The anthology continues with Ryou, a high school sprinter whose true finish line is winning over Airi, his beautiful track manager. When he asks her for Valentine’s Day chocolate, his request carries a sweeter, romantic undertone. In a separate story, Sanae recovers from an appendectomy only to fall victim to a new affliction: love sickness caused by her handsome attending physician, Dr. Touya. She soon wonders if his gentle care might be the only cure. The volume concludes with a special bonus comic offering humorous insight into the author's creative process and signature character designs.
