GoWest: Overworked

Half a century ago, the martial arts world faced an unprecedented crisis when a mysterious force known as the Hun Dun launched a sudden invasion. To combat this threat, Murong Qiong founded the Demon Sect, leading his followers through grueling battles that ultimately failed to secure victory. Salvation arrived only when the Divine Messenger Yi Zhihua descended, imparting a radical cultivation method of demonization that finally allowed the martial artists to vanquish the invaders. However, once the Divine Messenger departed, the widespread dissemination of this technique spiraled out of control. Disillusioned by the chaos, Murong Qiong withdrew from society, leaving his subordinate Yu Huabing to seize power. Yu Huabing refined the volatile cultivation method, ushering in a thriving new era defined by Punk True Qi. Yet this prosperity came at a steep cost: every cultivator became hopelessly addicted to overworking themselves, transforming into relentless labor fanatics. Amid this bizarre and exhausting landscape, an idealistic young man named Dongfang Sheng refused to accept the status quo. Driven by a sincere desire to restore the martial arts world’s former glory, he tracked down the reclusive Murong Qiong, who had hidden himself away within the Westward Restaurant. With this fateful meeting, a wildly comedic journey began.
