Slow Down

A young man makes the decision to volunteer for a sensory deprivation experiment, stepping into an environment designed to strip away his sight, sound, and touch. The study proceeds exactly as the researchers intended, and by all external measures, the trial is deemed a complete success. He emerges from the isolation chamber physically unharmed, having fulfilled his role in the scientific endeavor without any immediate complications or visible signs of distress. However, the profound silence and emptiness of the experience prove far more difficult to leave behind than anyone anticipated. Although the experiment concludes on schedule, the young man soon discovers that the total absence of sensory input has left an indelible mark on his mind. Lingering psychological aftereffects begin to surface, subtly altering his perception of the world around him long after he has returned to his normal life. What was meant to be a straightforward scientific procedure ultimately becomes a deeply personal struggle, forcing him to navigate the unsettling mental residue of absolute deprivation.
