In the quiet coastal town of Tsushima, located in Nagasaki Prefecture, a high school student named Gen lives an unremarkable life. His days are defined by routine as he cares for his mother and tends to his younger sister, whose fragile health demands constant attention. For Gen, survival is already a daily effort, but the ordinary rhythm of his world is about to be shattered beyond recognition. Without warning, an inexplicable creature emerges on the island, bringing with it a nightmare that defies all reason. This monstrous entity does not merely attack; it consumes the local residents and assimilates them into its own being, spreading its horrifying influence at an alarming pace. As the population falls one by one, the creature rapidly seizes control of the entire island through relentless predation, dismantling any semblance of order or authority. Trapped in an isolated landscape now dominated by an unstoppable predator, Gen faces an impossible dilemma. With his vulnerable family relying entirely on him, he must navigate a terrifying new reality where every shadow could conceal annihilation. What follows is a desperate struggle for survival, plunging Gen into a harrowing science fiction nightmare where humanity's place at the top of the food chain has been violently devoured.
