Hikaru Kaze

Seeking independence from the stifling expectations of his traditional and conservative family, Gen takes a job at a publishing house in hopes of forging his own path. What begins as a simple attempt to escape his past quickly evolves into something far more unsettling when he stumbles upon buried information regarding a devastating illness that swept through a remote Japanese village years earlier. As Gen delves deeper into the archives, he realizes that the widely accepted official account of the outbreak is incomplete at best. The published reports fail to align with the fragmented truths hidden beneath the surface, suggesting a deliberate effort to conceal what actually happened during the epidemic. Driven by an insatiable need to uncover the facts, he pushes past the sanitized narrative presented to the public. His relentless investigation ultimately leads him down a dark and dangerous path. Piece by piece, the carefully constructed facade crumbles, revealing a horrifying reality that was never meant to be exposed. In his quest for the truth behind the village's tragic past, Gen finds himself confronting a nightmare far worse than anything he left behind when he walked away from his family.
