SK8 the Infinity EXTRA PART

SK8 the Infinity EXTRA PART is an original video animation that presents four slice-of-life omnibus stories set within the beloved world of SK∞. In "The Rain and a Cat, Soda Ice Cream from the Convenience Store One Sunday," Reki, Langa, and Miya set out for their usual skatepark session, only to be caught in a sudden squall. Seeking shelter at Reki’s home, the trio unexpectedly stumbles upon Karuta, a traditional Japanese card game, and spends the rainy afternoon engrossed in friendly competition. Another story, "Becoming Really Serious About Things," looks back at the high school days of Sakurayashiki and Nanjo, two individuals who lived in relative obscurity yet constantly clashed and pushed each other to their limits, leaving viewers to wonder where their fierce rivalry might ultimately lead them. The OVA also delves into the quieter moments of its characters' lives. "Morning Routine" peels back the curtain on Ainosuke and Kikuchi’s daily existence, uncovering secret interactions and intimate crossovers that gradually draw them toward something deeper. Finally, "Hiromi, Do Your Best!" follows Shadow, who trades his nocturnal anti-hero persona for the gentle dedication required at a daytime flower shop. Told across three short segments, this narrative highlights his surprisingly noble and kindhearted nature as he works hard among the blooms. The project premiered in theaters on January 24, 2025, followed by a home video release on March 19, 2025.
