Sorairo Utility

Minami Aoba is consumed by a quiet anxiety: without any notable talents or ambitions, she fears her high school years will end with her fading into the background as nothing more than an ordinary extra. Determined not to let her youth slip away so unremarkably, she steps beyond the school gates in search of something that might finally make her feel unique. Her quest leads her by chance to a local golf practice range, where a fateful encounter with Haruka Akane, a part-time worker at the facility, changes everything. When Haruka places a golf club—a "utility"—into Minami's hands, it sparks an unexpected and transformative introduction to the sport. For Minami, golf quickly reveals itself to be about far more than simply winning; every aspect of the game offers its own distinct joy. Joined by the naturally gifted Haruka and Ayaka Hoshimi, a girl who dreams of becoming a social media influencer, Minami finds herself surrounded by companions who share her desire to step out of the shadows. Together, this unlikely trio navigates the greens, each searching for that defining moment when they can finally become the protagonists of their own stories. Though she remains a complete beginner, Minami takes to the course with renewed purpose, swinging her club once again today in pursuit of her own sky-blue potential.
