Nozomu aspires to become a writer, yet she struggles to discover the perfect story to tell. Her ordinary life takes an unexpected turn while walking home from school when a chance collision with a group of aggressive young men leads to harassment. She is rescued by a mysterious stranger named Ichiyou, who reveals he is on a quest to locate missing gods. After Nozomu sends him on his way, another figure named Tenkou approaches her, searching for his master. When Nozomu reunites Ichiyou and Tenkou, she inadvertently steps into a hidden reality, witnessing the turbulent and abusive dynamic between the two men. Through this encounter, she gains a glimpse of a parallel world teetering on the brink of collapse—a realm once sustained by four malevolent gods that has now plunged into crisis. As the divine beings flee their ancient confinement, the fate of this fractured world rests upon the kashikans. These specialized individuals must harness the power of song and dance to summon the escaped gods back. Drawn into their perilous journey, Nozomu finally finds the extraordinary tale she has been seeking.
