Reikan Shoujo wa Hako no Naka

A single, unsettling photograph holds the key to a disturbing mystery. Within its frame stands a girl who has since vanished without a trace, accompanied by an eerie, unidentifiable shadow that defies any rational explanation. For Hitoka Yanagi, this image is not merely a strange curiosity but a deeply troubling puzzle demanding answers she cannot uncover alone. Desperate to understand the truth behind the disappearance and the sinister presence captured on film, she turns to the one person in her school who might possess the necessary expertise. Her classmate, Mao Moriya, is far from an ordinary student. Operating quietly among her peers, she offers a highly unusual service: investigating and resolving supernatural incidents for a price. Recognizing Mao’s unique capabilities, Hitoka formally requests her assistance in unraveling the dark secrets hidden within the photograph. Together, the two girls are drawn into a chilling investigation where the boundaries between the mundane world and the paranormal blur, forcing them to confront the terrifying reality lurking just beneath the surface of their everyday lives.
