Negative Positive Angler

Tsunehiro Sasaki is a university student burdened by overwhelming debt and devastated by a terminal diagnosis that leaves him with only two years to live. Resigned to spending his remaining days in despair, his life takes an unexpected turn when a pursuit by a debt collector ends with him plunging into the sea. He is pulled from the water by Hana, a passionate angler, and her circle of fishing companions, including a young man named Takaaki. Rather than letting him sink back into hopelessness, Hana encourages Tsunehiro to try fishing for the very first time. This simple invitation introduces him to a welcoming community of enthusiasts who gradually become his friends. Seeking stability, he secures employment at the convenience store where both Hana and Takaaki work, giving him a renewed sense of purpose and daily routine. As he spends more time on the water alongside his new companions, Tsunehiro finds himself increasingly captivated by the sport. What begins as a desperate escape slowly transforms into a genuine passion, offering him a brighter perspective during the final chapter of his life.
