Seeking escape from his past and anyone who knows his history, Kazuki Tsukigase transfers to a new high school located on a remote, isolated island. Hoping to lose himself in the quiet anonymity of his new surroundings, he instead stumbles upon a local mystery. Whispers among the island residents speak of a secluded inlet where people mysteriously vanish without a trace. Driven by curiosity, Kazuki decides to explore the forbidden area, unaware that it will completely upend his quiet life. Deep within the inlet, he discovers an unconscious girl lying entirely alone. Kazuki promptly carries her to safety at the local clinic, where she eventually regains consciousness. However, the situation grows deeply unsettling when she proves entirely incapable of recalling her own identity or anything about her past, save for a single name: Nao. Claiming to be sixteen years old, the enigmatic girl utters only one other confusing detail into the quiet air, whispering the year 1974.
