VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral after Forgetting to Turn Off My Stream

Yuki Tanaka works as a virtual streamer for Live-On, one of the most prominent VTuber agencies in Japan. Under her online persona, Awayuki Kokorone, she presents herself to her audience as the picture of elegance and grace, maintaining a polite and refined demeanor at all times. However, this carefully constructed image is built on a foundation that hides who Yuki truly is behind the screen. Everything changes during an otherwise ordinary broadcast when Yuki accidentally forgets to end her stream. Unaware that she is still live, she drops her pristine act entirely, revealing her authentic self to thousands of viewers. Instead of the demure lady they expected, the audience witnesses a brash, irreverent personality with a penchant for improper behavior and unwinding with alcohol after a long day of work. Rather than destroying her career, this candid slip-up produces an unexpected result. Yuki is stunned to discover that her viewership numbers have skyrocketed following the incident, proving that audiences are far more captivated by her genuine nature than her manufactured charm. Realizing the massive potential of this accidental shift, she decides to lean fully into her true personality. Determin to capitalize on her newfound momentum, Yuki throws herself into her work with renewed ambition, setting her sights on becoming a top-tier star in the competitive world of virtual streaming.
