Ayumu Fujino is a fourth-grade student who has earned widespread admiration among her classmates by contributing a regular manga strip to the school newspaper. Her artistic talent elevates her to the status of a local celebrity within the classroom, giving her a strong sense of pride and identity. For Ayumu, drawing is more than just a hobby; it is the defining characteristic that sets her apart from her peers and secures her social standing at school. However, this comfortable position is unexpectedly challenged when she learns that another student wishes to contribute artwork to the same publication. The aspiring contributor is Kyomoto, a reclusive classmate who entirely refuses to attend school. The revelation that an absent, unseen peer intends to share the very platform Ayumu considers her own introduces a sudden shift in her world. This development forces the young artist to confront the prospect of sharing her spotlight with someone whose skills remain entirely unknown to her. What begins as a simple childhood pursuit of recognition transforms into a quiet but deeply personal dilemma, as Ayumu must navigate feelings of rivalry, curiosity, and uncertainty regarding the mysterious student who dares to draw alongside her from afar.
