Attack on Titan: Before the Fall

Long before the events of the Attack on Titan: Before the Fall manga, humanity remains locked in a desperate struggle against the Titans, unaware of their fatal weak points. In this era, the three-dimensional maneuver gear has yet to be invented. Angel Aaltonen, a first-class weapons craftsman, works within a specialized workshop dedicated to forging protective equipment and weaponry for the Survey Corps. His elite status grants him direct involvement in the regiment’s operations, driving his ambitious quest to engineer the ultimate weapon capable of turning the tide of battle—laying the very groundwork for the iconic maneuver gear that will one day change warfare forever. Amidst this turbulent age, an infant is discovered wailing within a pool of Titan vomit, surrounded by the smoldering remains of slain giants. D믭 the "Titan's child," Kuklo grows at an unnatural pace and endures the intense hatred of those living behind the Walls. Determined to sever ties with his grim origins, he gambles humanity's future by enlisting in the Survey Corps. Having survived beyond the outer Wall, Kuklo eventually takes up the newly developed, though still imperfect, maneuver gear. Despite the dangerous complications the prototype causes him, he throws himself into combat against the Titans, driven by a past shrouded in mystery or perhaps an inescapable destiny to fight.
