DEAD DEAD DEMONS DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION

When a colossal and enigmatic alien mothership suddenly materializes in the sky, humanity is plunged into an atmosphere of global dread. Yet, for best friends Koyama Kadode and Nakagawa Oran—affectionately known as "Ontan"—the looming extraterrestrial crisis does little to interrupt the familiar rhythms of their daily routine. Rather than succumbing to widespread panic, the two girls steadfastly maintain their ordinary high school lives, navigating classes, friendships, and youthful ambitions while the shadow of an otherworldly vessel hangs over the world. As time passes, however, the simple comforts of adolescence begin to give way to the inevitable challenges of growing up. Kadode and Ontan find themselves confronting profound existential questions that extend far beyond the immediate spectacle in the sky. The transition into adulthood forces them to grapple with complex emotional realities and shifting perspectives on life. Through this journey of maturation, they gradually come to a sobering realization: the most pressing danger facing their world may not actually descend from the heavens above, but rather stem from something far closer to home.
