Reform with No Wasted Draws - The Legend of Koizumi

In this cult classic manga, the complex arena of modern international diplomacy is entirely reimagined through high-stakes games of mahjong. The story centers on a fictionalized version of former Japanese Prime Minister Junichirō Koizumi, who must rely on his exceptional skills at the table to navigate global politics and secure his nation's standing. Rather than engaging in traditional negotiations or treaties, world conflicts are resolved through intense, strategic tile-matching battles where every draw carries immense political weight. First serialized in Kindai Mahjong magazines and spanning sixteen volumes, the series thrusts Koizumi into fierce competition against a colorful roster of caricatured world leaders. His formidable opponents include George W. Bush, Kim Jong-il, Vladimir Putin, and Margaret Thatcher, among others. Each match tests not only his mastery of the game but also his ability to outwit some of the most powerful figures on the planet. Through these dramatic encounters, the narrative transforms the quiet tension of a mahjong parlor into a thrilling battlefield for global supremacy, blending political satire with the deep strategy of competitive gaming.
